Am I the only one caught up with the festive fever that has come to stay with the 04s? We have been reaping unions, babies, and more unions coming up! Can I get an Amen? All glory we must give to GOD. This year has definitely been our year - Roland, Lorita and Aima became parents all in one week! Kemi, Malik&Morenike are now joined to their heart throbs and its not over yet as Uduak, Akubo and Shina are gearing up to tie the knot...

ON A SAD NOTE: PROFESSOR ANTHONY CHUKWURAH OYE

Dear 04s,

On a sad note and deep sense of loss, we regret the passing away of Professor Anthony Chukwurah Oye. This occurred on Friday July 12, 2013 at around 6.45am.

Dear Sir, you were a true icon, an epitome of who a teacher should be. When the news was first announced, someone said "there goes true jurisprudence". We would miss you truly and are consoled with the fact that you were an achiever and you indeed imparted deep knowledge .

Rest on sir, till we meet to part no more.


Please you guys drop your eulogies, we would print them out and send to his family, this is the very least we can do. GOD bless us as we do so. Amen

ABOUT OUR VERY FIRST 04 STAR- IFEYINWA OSARHIEME OBIECHINA!!!!

Dear 04s, our votes gave birth to our very first star and it is most necessary we get to know her, this is what she has to say about herself, so we present to you Iphie (as she is popularly known)

My name is Ifeyinwa Osarhieme Obiechina, born in Benin city but bred and buttered in Abuja from the day I was a month old. I have lived in Abuja all my life, had my primary education there, my secondary education was all over the place, Abuja, kaduna, almost did a stint in Jos but the fighting pushed me to conclude my secondary education in Benin. I started out my University education at igbinedion University where I was studying law but moved over to University of Abuja when I got admitted to study law, that is how I became a member of the best family of our time, the law family of 2004. 

My time as an 04ite was fun, I had some of the greatest moments with this family. I like to stick to what I know, so I stuck with my circle, this made a lot of people jump to conclusions about me and once the got to know me, they usually go, ' I didn't know you were like this oh'. 

After Gwags, I proceeded to the Nigerian Law School lagos, it was an opportunity to learn the law and get close to other 04ites that I previously only said hello to. 

After the call to bar, I served with a law firm in Abuja and went ahead to pursue a masters degree after that. I studied international business law at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge UK. I went for this course because I have always been fascinated with they way companies can empower communities within which they operate and went ahead to write my dissertation on Corporate Social Responsibility. 

I am back in the country now, awaiting the award of my final result and so pending that, I work at the law firm where I served.

I am presently single but not in a hurry to be in a relationship. I believe we all have our 'the one' out there waiting for, there is no need to rush, so why settle for less while waiting for him or her to appear! 

My stay in the UK helped me develop all round, it's was while I was that the the blog, www.abjlovingabujaliving.blogspot.com was born. I was joined by Adesuwa and together we hope we can inspire change in Nigeria and also inspire young people to follow their dreams. I also run the Me For Change Initiative, an initiative which is aimed at changing Nigeria, one person at a time.

RESULTS: 04 STAR OF THE MONTH

Hello people!!,

Phew! its been hectic over the last two days, seeing all your votes beeping our PCs, but isn't that what we signed up for? LOL!

Anyway 04s have voted and are itching to know the outcome...relax! relax!, Oh well! after a painstaking time counting the votes the following are the results:

• In total we had 105 comments on the 'vote' page
• An incomplete comment by Uduak was cancelled (That makes 1 comment)
• Tobe commented to stand by Iphie (That makes 1 comment)
• 4 comments were removed following clamors from 04s that they were inappropriate
• KINGS- had 42 valid votes and 4 invalid votes (one Ali voted 2ce, one vote read 'my vote goes to kingsley d great mbeat" and didnt add name, Uduak voted 2ce so one was invalid,a vote from Andronicus was made invalid because between the admins we did not know who Andronicus is). SO IN TOTAL KINGS HAD 42 VOTES!!!!!
• IPHIE- had 49 votes and 4 invalid votes (Enoh charles's vote is invalid because he is an admin, an anonymous vote was disqualified for no name, Soky Obiechina's vote is invalid as she is not an 04, Emmanuel's vote was not specific as to whether he was voting or was calling Iphie's name). SO IN TOTAL IPHIE HAD 49 VOTES!!!! 

So Ifeyinwa Obiechina is hereby declared the 04 star of the week! hearty congratulations!!!! You are 04 star of the week and all benefits as promised by 04s are to be accorded to you in the next 24 hours. WATCH THIS PAGE!

THE GAME!!!! - 04 Star of the week

Its no news that there exist an 04 group on  BBM. It has 30 members and it is trying to spread its tentacles, that is, open more groups to accommodate everyone. Lets just call this existing group the 'test run group', because we really need everyone to be part of it. We do really hope for better participation on facebook and soon twitter.

The house has always looked for ways to keep the forum alive through jokes ,sharing legal ideas, life experiences etc. Suggestions on how to make us better is always sought.

In this regard, on the 5th of July, it was suggested that a game called "STAR HOUSEMATE OF THE WEEK" be started.

This is how the game is played:

•  the house mates will have an opportunity to nominate at least 2 people who they feel deserve this title.
• People with the highest nominations then proceed to tell us about themselves, give us reasons why they deserve our votes and have 2 clear days to campaign.
• Once campaigns are over, voting begins! Voting is to run for 3clear days (mon- wed) on the blog site. the person with the highest no. Of votes is crowned the star house mate of the week!
• This game is open to all 04s ....ALL!

The star enjoys a publicity of his profile on the blog which will be posted on FB for a week, 2months BIS in the form of 100naira credit each from house mate.

All house mates agreed to this game plan and nominations were made same day which saw Iphie and Kingsley emerging as the favourite housemates for this week. They both will go thru the procedure of campaigning and lobbying for the votes of their fellow house mates.

The idea behind this game is to make all house mates participate as some of us hardly join in in-house discussions, to also celebrate ourselves and enjoy some lime light and most importantly, to have FUN!!

Hello people...how are you all today? I have good news for you!

04 peeps are hitching up! Did I hear an Amen to that?

On July 1st 2013 (aww! It had to be the 1st day of the month), members of the 04 Bbm group witnessed open display of affection:
Target- Tobe Chiezie
Aimers- Dialo Odiniru, Shina Ajagunna and Yomi Jiggy

Tobe had just joined the group and had proclaimed herself as being single during her initiation into the group as its usual practice...and next thing! Shina and Yomi began litanies of love for her >>

"I am a lover and not a killer" - Shina

"Tobe is an Angel,God sent and a queen " - Yomi

Yomi attacked Shina claiming he had furnished enough consideration via Ella, Tobe's bosom friend long before now and only waited for a chance to express his undying lover for her. Besides, Shina is hooked and billed to be hitched to his sweetheart..one "Aisha Olenloa" by 2015.

Shina was of the view that being hooked was not a criteria and Ella added that "He can be unhooked!"

Ade recounted Yomi's Benefits-
1. He works with the senators at NA..so Tobe would be financially covered.
2. He drives a car, so she would need never to trek again.
3. He is outrageously single and has no ties like Shina...so immunity dey
4. He quoted from the Bible during His prophesy of love for her, so he loves GOD.

When it appeared that Tobe was about to make a choice, Dialor came in...He supported Yomi's cause and soon Shina gave up and wished Yomi&Tobe well..how romantic..But hey! Dialor turned snitch..>>


"Tobe pls take my number 080333222111 send urs pls let's profess love..." And hurled @ Yomi n' Shina "U know u n yomi can always ve d girl of ur choice. Dis is my only chance. Jolene (Shina) pls don't take my love cos u can ...U n yomi can ve d choice of women u want, dis is d only 1 I luv. Pls u ppl shld not decieve her n take her cos u can"

Shina stressed that he had given up on the course...but Dialor didn't seem to listen as he said more to Shina "Wife snatcher! U want 2 take her n give ur fwend after all we ve bin togeda..! I am 04 too I nid a chance. @ happiness "

Yomi didn't give up.."" seriously u guys shld stop n comot eye for my tobe oooo b4 wat happen in 1978 not repeat itself again o.... she needs a serious man u lover boi....I have expressed myself n feelings for tobe before d whole world n even knelt down with tears asking for her to accept me. So its all for Tobe to decide now:| "- Yomi

Now for the big one! Tobe chose Dialor!!! (Smells tribalism in the air)..Someone quickly warned that Dialor is hooked too and that acid is cheap and of course we do love Tobe.

In all the drama, I got thinking:

A. That you are hooked doesn't make you immune to being unhooked
B. That a man would wait for a lady to shout "am single" before he serves her with notice of attraction.
C. That friends can be snitches big time!
D. That classmates can love..even much wholly!

What won't we see in the 04 group? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! Hehehehe...all I can say is watch out for I smell an 04 wedding. Ciao!


N.B Tobe listed Shina Ajagunna as of her 04 crushes...hmmmmm. I guess his being hooked didn't let her choose him. Now I never said this did I?
